Construction intern experiences.

We are working with Pittsburg State University to provide Internship to students in the construction field. Our goal is to provide a positive leaning experience to encourage them to continue their studies in the Construction field. Below are summaries written by our two interns this summer.  We wish them the best and look forward to following their future careers.

My name is Logan Kain and I am working on a degree in Construction Management at Pittsburg State University. Throughout the summer of 2022 I was an intern for ARC. They provided me my first real experience with hands on construction. I had the opportunity to be on multiple types of construction sites varying from retail to restaurants. This helped expose me to various unique situations which have further broadened my knowledge within the construction field. My favorite part about the internship was being paired up with the superintendents on whatever jobsite I was assigned. They were very knowledgeable and I was able to gain valuable insight regarding the construction field. Overall, I would consider my time with ARC well spent. I learned quite a bit through my experience. I could safely recommend being an intern for ARC!

Gabe Senteney - During my time with ARC I learned an innumerable number of things about the construction world and industry. I got great hands-on experience of the construction process on each jobsite. Over the course of the summer I got to meet and interact with nearly all the employees of ARC. All were very welcoming and informative. ARC was very accommodating of my strengths and worked to help me improve my weakness where I needed.  I learned something new every day and often times I was able to build on that. When working with the superintendents there were no bad questions and they were eager to help me learn as much as possible. Getting time in the field I was able to get a better understanding of what the real construction process looks like on each job and how many parts and pieces must come together for a project to be successful.  As an intern I felt appreciated and valued as a part of the team and felt as though I had always been a part of the group from the start, not just a summer internship. I would highly recommend anyone to work for ARC because they treated everyone with respect and kindness.
